- July 7 – 13, 2008 – Cathedral of Sts. Peter & Paul, 35 Canning St. Melbourne, Australia
- July 7 – 11 - A. M. – Catechetical and Liturgical Program
P.M. – Essendon Ukr. Hall – Social & cultural program
Evening entertainment includes concerts, international speakers in the city
- July 12 - A. M. – Free time
P.M. – Program with all pilgrims in the convention center - Melbourne
Evening – Liturgical service at the Telstra Dome
- July 13 – Divine Liturgy – travel to Sydney
WYD 2008 - Sydney
- July 14 – travel to Sydney by bus, train or plane (depending on bought tickets) & registration
- July 15 – Opening Mass of Welcome followed by concert
- July 16 – 18 - Catechesis sessions every morning and festival events in afternoon and evening
- July 17 – Arrival and welcome of the Holy Father
- July 18– evening – Stations of the Cross – a re-enactment of Our Lord’s Passion
- July 19 – Pilgrimage walk to site of closing Mass with the Holy Father and sleep under the stars
- July 20 – Closing Mass and concluding events
- Special programs for Byzantine Catholics will be announced at a later da
Registration
- When you register at the WYD2008 website, you must check Ukrainian Eparchy under the Days of Diocese section in order to get free accommodations in Melbourne. See official website information for various registration packets (with food costs).
- Visas will be included in your registration packet
- Each group must have a group leader 18 years or older.
- Free accommodations will be provided in Melbourne & Sydney.
Pilgrims to Melbourne
- Free accommodations will be provided in schools and halls
- Pilgrims must bring a sleeping bag and floor mat. Youth hostels (with breakfast) may be requested for $20 – $30 per night extra.
- Only breakfast will be provided
- Transportation to Sydney will be $90 (Aus) each way; planes are $190 (Aus) each way: trains are available also
- International visitors will travel at a minimal cost within the city of Melbourne
- Consider flying into Melbourne and flying out of Sydney
